Equal Pay Day Conference going international III
Supported by the Central European Initiative (CEI), in the previous 2 rounds, Best-seller has been involved in the implementation of “Equal Pay Day going international” project implemented by Business and Professional Women Czech Republic, which has been focused in the previous 15 years on female empowerment and aims to strengthen social and economic security of women by provoking professional discussion of companies and the public about the causes of inequality, especially in the workplace. By sharing good practice and presenting female role models and leaders, it supports the equal status of women at work and in society. It is a global educational campaign that engaged 335 conference speakers and 460 female leaders and mentors from the year 2010, with the outreach to 20.000 women that became seen and heard.
One of the main outputs of the long-term efforts by the consortium of partners and associates is “Call to action: integrating Ukrainian women into the workforce and society”. In the face of unprecedented challenges, we are at a pivotal moment to promote positive change. Integrating Ukrainian women into the fabric of our society and workplace is not only a moral imperative, but also a unique opportunity to enrich our cultural and economic environment.
It is about ensuring that their voices are heard, their needs are addressed and their contributions are valued. It is about building a society where everyone, regardless of their background, has the chance to thrive and contribute.
Our work on the Call and linking with UNICEF’s The Pathways initiative will definitely bring much needed education to companies and we also believe in their involvement of Ukrainian women and young refugees in the labour market.
Let’s stay connected together!
