In the period from 1.9.2016 – 8.9.2016, Best-seller’s crew made by Tanja Bojovic, Nebojsa Djeric, Ljiljana Djajic, Nevena Feliks and Katarina Ilic had a chance to actively participate in 8-days Training course “Restart humanity”, organized by Alfa Albona. This Training Course was held in Tunarice, a small place nearby Labin, Istria, Croatia.
The training was designed to contribute to development of the quality of support systems for professionals who work with young people on the subject of human rights in the context of the issue of migration in and through Europe and non-violence. Project gathered together youth workers from Austria, Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.
Through discussions on human rights, interactive games, non-formal learning and open space, intercultural evenings and visits to various cultural institutions in Labin and Pula, participants had the opportunity to share their experience, become familiar with the systems of support for migrants in each of the participating countries and discuss the current challenges of the refugee crisis. In order to build capacity for further work and understanding of the current situation, encourage self-initiative and communication skills, the participants were encouraged to moderate the discussions by themselves and organize activities on the topics that are in the domain of their previous experience by using of artistic expression and performance as a tool in working with people and recognize their feelings.
Judging by reflections and evaluations, this training can be considered a contribution to the successful cooperation and strengthening of creative capacity of young actors in the field of migration, humanitarian and youth work in general.
